Cindy Cruz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at UC Santa Cruz. As an urban ethnographer, her work looks at the embodied practices of resistance in homeless LGBTQ youth communities, violence and youth, problems in testimonio methodologies, and the school-to-prisons pipeline. She is also interested in decolonial feminist theory, community-based learning, race and schooling, and U.S. Third World feminisms.
