Helene Moglen, Ph.D.

Helene Moglen is a literary critic and cultural and psychoanalytic theorist who has also written essays and edited books about graduate education, literacy, pedagogy, and gender and sexual harassment in the academy. Throughout her career, she has worked to establish connections between the university and its local community. Most recently, as Chair of the Committee on Emeriti Relations, she collaborated with colleagues to establish “The Continuing University” and is co-directing, with Nancy Chen, “Santa Cruz Commons: Activist Research and the Public Humanities.”
