Andrew D. Coppens is a Ph.D. candidate in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Andrew's research examines cultural features of children’s learning, motivation, and development through their collaborative involvement in family and community endeavors. A main focus in his work is children’s initiative in helping their family with contributions to shared work in Indigenous and Indigenous-heritage communities of México and the Americas. He is also interested in the impact of national and international public policy interventions on children’s opportunities to contribute and take part in mature family and community endeavors.
